    Mr. Cicero (Jack) Dukes Jr

    April 21, 1930 - September 29, 2017

    Cicero Dukes Jr. aka Jack was born in Lockhart, Texas on April 21, 1930 to the parentage of Cicero Sr. and Lucy Alma Dukes. Cicero was reared in a Christian home. He attended Lockhart Vocational High School and later transferred to Anderson High School where he excelled in sports. He was drafted into the U. S. Army where he served honorably and was discharged in 1956. He married his love, Jimmie Lou Horton. This union was blessed with five children. Cicero was a devout believer. During his Christian journey, he was a member at Church of God in Christ No.1, Tabernacle of Praise COGIC, and upon his demise, Sanctuary of Deliverance COGIC. Cicero served faithfully at each of these ministries with a special desire for the success of each pastor. His parents, brother Zandy Dukes; sisters, Beatrice T. French, Sadie Mae Dukes, Willie Belle Nelson and Alma Marie Williams preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his home going his wife, Jimmie L. Dukes of Austin, Texas, five children, Glenda Daniels (deceased), LaJuana Dukes-Smith, Cicero Dukes, III (Bucky), Cheryl Ann Monroe (Peter) and Cedric Wayne Dukes of Austin, Texas. Additionally, two special sons, Superintendent Anthony (Peter) Monroe (Son-in-law) and Hillary Ray Smith, nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
