https://livestream.com/accounts/7325565/margiecolter Margie Marie Williams Colter was born July 30, 1954 to Lettie B. Williams in Robstown, Texas. She is the oldest of four siblings. Margie accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She was baptized by Rev. RC Easley at Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church. Invited to Greater Mt Zion Baptist Church by Bennie and Annie Penn in the early Seventies, she and her husband later joined. At GMZ, she served as a Sunday School Teacher and Usher, on Usher Board Number Three for many years. She was a faithful and dedicated member of the church and gave her unending support to the youth department and the usher board. A bright and gifted student, Margie attended elementary at The Haywood School in Walnut Creek, Bastrop County. She later graduated from Bastrop High School in 1972. After graduating, she attended Austin Community College for two years. Margie was an excellent cook, well known by her family and friends for her delicious meals and desserts, which she learned from her grandmother. As a mother, she encouraged her children to excel in achieving higher education. Margie was a devoted family member, mother of two, grandmother of five and a dedicated employee. With her drive and determination, she worked for over 48 years at Texas Instruments, Motorola, Engender Health, and Travis County as a coordinator for Youth with Disabilities. While maintaining these various careers and goals, Margie most enjoyed being a realtor. God granted her angel's wings on May 10, 2022 with her husband and children by her side at her home in Bastrop, Texas. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Johnnie and Ardellia Williams whom she called "mama and daddy", her mother Lettie B. Williams Harper and sister – Beatrice Harper Spencer (Garth). Leaving a void in the lives of those who loved her, are the ones that most cherish her memory: her husband, Donnie Colter of Bastrop, Texas, her daughter, Courtney Colter of Round Rock, Texas, her son, Michael Colter (Tristin) of Dallas, Texas; her brother Jonathan Maxwell Harper of Round Rock and her sister, Debra Williams Clemons, of Round Rock, Texas (Morris); 5 grandchildren (Morgan, Khayil, Arie Rayne, Kylei Dawn, Channing); and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
