James Lee Everage Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

James Lee Everage Sr. was born March 28,1947, to Leslie Williams and Charlie Mae Everage (Taylor) in Taylor, Texas. He was the oldest of nine children. James Sr. attended Christopher Attics and Booker T. Washington where he graduated. He was a member of the 1964 State Champions Booker T. Washington football team. James Sr. enlisted into the United States Army in 1966. Where he earned The National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Vietnam Unit Medal. After serving in Vietnam, James Sr. transferred to The Department of Army and The Air Force National Guard for his remainder of his military service. On January 15, 1973, James Lee Everage, Sr. married Cynthia Denise White to this union three beautiful children were born… James Lee Everage, Sr. departed this life July 4, 2022, in Granger, Texas. He was preceded in death by his sons: James Lee Everage, Jr. and Brandon Keith Everage; brother: Roy L. Taylor. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 49 years, Cynthia D. Everage (Granger); daughter: Natasha Y. Everage (Granger); grandson: Brandon K. Everage (Oklahoma); mother: Charlie Mae Taylor (Houston); five brothers: Lewis Taylor, Michael Taylor, Jackie Taylor, Sr. (JoAnn), Devlin Taylor and Kelvin Taylor; two sisters: Ella Taylor and Diane Eason (Willie) all of Houston, Texas. He also leaves many aunts, and uncles, a host of other relatives and friends.
