    Andrew Clemons

    April 21, 1928 - January 5, 2020

Andrew Clemons was born on April 21, 1928 in Round Rock, Texas to Alcy Clemons and Francie Wilson Clemons. Andrew was encouraged to attend church by his good friend Kenneth Jolivet. In 2012 at the age of 84 Andrew joined the Greater Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and was baptized. Andrew was the lawn care employee for the church and took care of the landscape for the church and the adjacent lots. Andrew was a butcher for L East Poultry and Slaughter Packing House and later began to drive truck from the Houston area. Upon retirement Andrew began his own lawn care business and worked until December 1, 2019. He had a love for people and would help anyone that was in need. He love baseball and even though he spent the majority of his life in Houston he was a die heart Dodger fan. He would stay up all night watching a baseball game. Andrew loved family, his sisters, nieces and nephews. He was a man of little words whenever he called the call only lasted no more than two minutes. Also, he loved his friend Kenneth and his family, his church family and his pastor. Preceding him in death are his parents, siblings; Albert Clemons, Josephine Marshall, Susie Johnson, Charles Clemons, Alcy Clemons, Earlie Clemons, Alberta Clemons, Willie Lee Clemons and Frances Clemons. Those left to celebrate his life and rejoice in his transition to eternal reward are his sisters Lola Mae Spence (Bill) and Rosie Baker both of Austin, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Also, he loved his friend Kenneth, long time friend Betty, his church family and pastor. Lastly, can we mention my brother by saying. Andrew had an undying love for his nephew Bill Clemons who he came to love dearly. Who was always there when he needed him during his illness. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. --Psalm 91:1
