https://livestream.com/accounts/7325565/stevenbledsoe Steven Thomas Bledsoe Jr. courageously departed this life to return to Our Lord, Jesus Christ on August 9, 2022. He was born to Steven Thomas Bledsoe Sr. and Brenda Glover in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 9, 1967. Steven attended Indianapolis Independent School District and graduated from Broad Ripple High School April 1985. He went to further his education by receiving his Licenses as a A/C and Heating Expert (HVAC), United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA-CPO Universal) and OSHA Certified. Steven professed a hope in Jesus Christ at an early age and attended Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Lee, Indianapolis, Indiana and later moved his membership to East Side New Hope Baptist Church, Indianapolis, Indian. In 2003 he moved to Austin, Texas where he established his membership at Zion Rest Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor R.E. Foster sang in the choir and served as a leader in other ministries of the church. As a child Steven was very inquisitive, he always wanted to know what and how things worked. He was always taking his toys apart and putting them back together. In school he was a good student, did his homework and didn't complain much. During his high-school years he worked downtown at a taco bell and when he got paid, he would always bring his check home to his mother to help pay the bills. Steven liked cooking and his mother taught him how to make certain things in case he never married. Steven always had a “Big” Smile” on his face and always found a reason to laugh. He enjoyed growing up with his cousins, playing basketball and family cookouts. Steven was mild-mannered with a gentle spirit and a big heart. While in Indianapolis, IN., Steven married Shauna Upchurch-Hilliard and to this union they had one son Steven Alexander Bledsoe. Steven also had two best friends growing up. They did everything together; James Ray and Dwayne Ray were 14 years old when they met, they became best friends, whenever the three of them got together the rest was history, they became brothers and remained friends until this day. Steven and Dwayne sang with the Rocky Shores gospel group; they were the youngest in the group. Steven also became the God Father of James' three daughters Jada, Dorain and Kayla. Steven was employed as a Maintenance Technician with Kensington-Indianapolis in 2003 then he moved to Austin, Texas and made it his permanent home where he made many friends. Steven had experience as a Maintenance Technician for 20+ years and in addition to his experience he gained considerable customer service skills, maintained over 300+ unit properties and had strong leadership skills. Upon his relocation to Austin, Tx (2003) he worked as a lead Maintenance at Spring Valley Apartments-Austin, Texas in 2003-2005, Lead Supervisor Club at Summer Valley Apartments-Austin, Texas in 2005-2007, Lead Service Technician at Travis Station Apartments-Austin, Texas 2007-2015, Regional Maintenance Supervisor at Daybreak Venture LLC-Denton, Texas 2015-2018, Facility Maintenance Visa (Camelot)-Austin, Texas 2018 to Present until his health failed. “A Servant Leader” Steven grew up and became his own man, he was first a Man of God and a Family Man... A ride or die Indianapolis Colts fan. He knew everything about sports, he loved football, fishing, grilling and quiet moments in his man cave. Steven had an old soul, he loved music, old gospel songs and singing out loud. He knew every song you could think of and all the lyrics no matter who the artist was. Steven was very proud of his son “Lil” Steven which is what he called him and would light up when he received calls from him, he loved everybody and everybody loved him, he had a smile that would light up a room when he entered one and he always made you welcomed and would make you feel like you knew him forever. Leo and Mrs. Shirley Brown, Austin, Texas; Sisters, Shannon Bailey (Willie) Killeen, TX, Cheryl Bledsoe, Nashville, TN; and Brother John Bledsoe (Tonya), Indianapolis, IN. 10 Grandkids who he adored and loved; Aunts, Cheri Gorman (McArthur), Rhonda Glover and Rita A. Watson, Indianapolis IN; Uncles, Craig Bledsoe Sr. Indianapolis, Indiana, Gerald Glover (Rhonda), Indianapolis IN; Great Aunt, Vivian Sarver, 10 Grandkids, and a host of brothers-in-law, sister-in laws, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
