Don’t think of her as gone away, her journey has just begun, life holds so many facets this earth is only one. Patricia Ann Wallace answered the Master’s call on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Patricia was the only baby girl born on February 28, 1954 to Flossie Mae Wilder and Arthur Malcolm Sparks, Sr. in Hillsboro, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Zayveahn Wallace. She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age at Little Zion Bible Baptist Church in Hillsboro, Texas. She served as a faithful member until she moved to Austin, Texas in 1973. She later became a member of Greater Love under the leadership of the late Reverend Marlin Carter. And, she was a former member of St. Stephens, Mt. Carmel and Pleasant Grove. She returned back to Greater Love under the leadership of Pastor Isaac Grant where she served faithfully. Patricia served the Lord actively in many areas of the church as a choir member, mission member, and member of the usher board, taught Vacation Bible School and Sunday School, Women’s Day Chairlady, and Choir Director. She really enjoyed singing. She would sing her favorite song “When I See Jesus Amen” whenever called upon to sing. She was employed with the Department of Health and Human Services Commission where she worked for over thirty years before retiring. In her leisure, she enjoyed working as a Mary Kay Consultant for over twenty years. She also enjoyed being “The Mother” to all the children that she encountered. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband and best friend of thirty-three years, Dr. Phillip Wallace; two sons, Patrick Gadsden and Christopher Armstrong; two daughters, La’Quetta and Sharla Wallace all of Austin, TX; five loving brothers, Arthur Sparks, Bennie Sparks, Alvin Sparks, Ronnie Sparks, and Michael Britton; nine (9) grandchildren, Ashley, Alan, Patrick Jr., Marina, Machaela, Jeremiah, Keania Gadsden and Dalton and Curry Flowers; two great grandchildren, LeRelle and ZaMaura; four (4) Godchildren, Joseph, Marisha, Jarome, and Shannon; one aunt, Mary Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
