Ms. Bonner was a resident at the Elgin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Elgin, Texas. Ms. Ollie Mae Bonner was a precious gift born to the late Mr. Ollie Bonner and the late Ms. Ora Lee Jackson in San Angelo, Texas on September 10th, 1939 before relocating to Austin, Texas. She came to know Christ as a young child, and joined church under the pastoral leadership of the late Rev. DeWitty. Ms. Ollie Mae Bonner received her education through the Austin Independent School District. Ms. Bonner had a passion for learning, and therefore; pursued further studies at the collegiate level. She attended the Austin Community College in Austin, Texas where she received her certification in Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counseling. She then pursued and obtained her certification as a teacher, at Huston -Tillotson University. She taught for the Del Valle ISD. Because of her passion for Christ and helping others, she continued her education and obtained her Degree in Divinity at the Freedom Bible College and Seminary. Ms. Bonner was known for her unwavering willingness to help others. She was a cornerstone in her community, touching the lives of many with her warm smile, joyful laughter, kindness, and generosity. “She rarely met a stranger”. Ms. Bonner will be remembered for her warm passionate laughter, compassion, and benevolence for sharing. Her legacy of love and kindness will remain in the hearts of those she touched. She will be dearly missed. Ms. Ollie Mae Bonner was preceded in death by her siblings: Lee Isaac, Solomon Isaac, Perry Dixon, James Bonner, Ora Nell Jones, Ella Mae Jenkins, Cheryl Irving and great grandson Keith McClure. She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Rose Blaylock, Janice Henry (Maurice), and Shanell Zanders (Wilfert). She is survived by her siblings: Carment Kiara (Tammy), Zenobia Alexander, Betty Jo Jackson, Joyce Jackson, numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and a host of her beloved cousins, extended family, and friends.
