Hollie Mae (Goods) Rollie, age 76 and lifetime resident of Granger TX entered into eternal rest at home, Friday, June 30th, 2017 surrounded by her beautiful and loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She fought the fight and finished her course. Born on February 18, 1941 in Dallas, TX to the late Christine Goods and Clinton Barnes, Hollie professed a hope in Christ at an early age. She was a member of St. Love All Missionary Baptist Church and current faithful member of Judea Missionary Baptist Church until her health started to fail. Hollie worked for 35 years as a Nurses’ Aide and 5 years as a Home Health Aide until her retirement in 2005. She loved all the many patients she cared for and left a lasting impression with them and their families. Hollie left a legacy of love, passion, patience and caring. Hollie was joined in holy matrimony to Alvin “James” Rollie Sr. and to this union one child was born. Hollie’s daughter Michelle was her pride and joy. You could always hear her say “my girl” whenever she spoke of her and one thing was known, Hollie was very proud of her daughter and all of her many accomplishments in life. Hollie was preceded in death by her loving husband: Alvin “James” Rollie Sr., parents: Christine Goods and Clinton Barnes, grandmother: Ida Mae Goods, two granddaughters: Latasha Rollie and Ashley Anderson and one great-granddaughter Jasmin Rollie. Hollie leaves to cherish her beautiful and precious memory, her devoted daughter: Franchrista Michelle (Rollie) Anderson and husband Tramon of Granger, TX, three sons: Delaine Rollie and wife Jackie of Granger, TX, Alvin Rollie Jr. and wife Jackie of Pflugerville, TX and Roy Montgomery and wife Nikki of Killeen, TX; two sisters: Yvonne Goods of Hutto, TX and Ann (Montez) Brown and husband Kenneth of Elgin, TX; three brothers: Gerome Goods and wife Theresa of Savannah, GA, Romeo Goods and wife Evelyn of Granger, TX and Robert Montez and wife Janice of Taylor, TX, two special nieces Christi and Amber Goods of Hutto, TX; two special nephews: Kenneth Goods of Indianapolis, IN and Christopher Goods of San Antonio, TX; one sister-in-law; Sophie Rollie of Odessa, TX; thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Hollie is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends. Hollie’s nephews: Kenneth and Christopher Goods and nieces: Christi and Amber Goods; granddaughters: Shayla, Jennifer & Jaime Rollie and Ariel & Morgan Anderson; great-granddaughters: Jazmyn, Jaila & Jordyn Rollie and Aubreanna Williams; great-grandson: Jadan Rollie always gave auntie, granny and grandma something to laugh about.
