His parents moved to Port Arthur, Texas when Darrell was two years old, with his siblings, Tammy & Tyrone Seals. He accepted Christ at the age of nine (9) years old and was baptized at The Greater Macedonia Baptist Church, under the ministry of Reverend James Preston, in Port Arthur, TX. Darrell attended Public Schools in Port Arthur, TX from elementary through High School. He played football and ran track in both Junior and High School. He was a member of the class of 1979, Lincoln High, “Go Bees”. Darrell worked along side of his father, beginning at the age of five (5) years helping do Carpentry Worked. He enjoyed painting houses, working on and restoring old cars in his teen through adult years. Really there was nothing Darrell could not fix; he was a hard worker. In 2005 Darrell met the most amazing woman (Sandra Renea Avery) and married her in 2008 in Shreveport, Louisiana. They had a great life, and their love will live on, despite, his departure. Our favorite football team is the New Orleans Saints, “Who Dat.” Darrell worked as a Security Guard for 7-11 (Springdale Road) for several years. He enjoyed meeting people and the owner of the store, (Pawan) treated him like family. After several years, he moved on to MPW Industries and worked there for a year, cooking for his co-workers and telling stories of their work escapades, especially with his friend James. Darrell was loved and will continue to be loved by his wife, family and friends. Darrell was always called “Uncle Darrell” by family members and many unrelated young people that he reached out to help in anyway possible. He loved to cook for many people, whenever he could, which was all the time. He was a true Warrior and fought until the end. God was his Refuge and Strength. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents and brother John Fitzgerald Seals. He is survived by his devoted wife of 15 years, Sandra R. Avery-Seals; siblings: Sister Tammy Carter of Austin, TX; Brothers; Tyrone Seals of Austin, TX; Timmie Seals (Dorcas) of Austin, TX; James Anthony Seals of Austin, TX; David Nathaniel Seals of Austin, TX and Martin Luther Seals (Christina) of Houston, TX; numerous Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nieces, Great-Nephews, other relatives and many, many special friends.
