Christopher Othello Robinson (Chris), 41, of Austin, Texas, passed away April 17, 2019. He was born in Austin, Texas on July 13, 1978. Chris graduated from L.B.J. High School in Austin, Texas. Christopher had a career in dispatch management and worked for Carter Transportation for that last 7 years. He accepted Christ at young age and was baptized at Unity Hill Baptist Church under the direction of Rev. Al Hardeman. In 1995 he became a member of Peaceful St. James Baptist Church, under the direction of the late Dr. John T. Townsend. Chris had a passion for helping people, he never met a stranger, and always made everyone feel like they mattered. He was a kind and gentle soul that could read you like a book, call you out if needed, and give you unconditional love in the end. Chris loved to entertain, he loved having his family and friends around him, and just loved to show support to anyone in need. His life was a living example of his favorite phrase “I got you”, and he was a man of his word when he told you this. His bright spirit commanded the room, and you knew when he walked in, that the party started. Chris coined the phrase “I’m going to make you laugh” and this is what we will do here: A lover of electronics, it was a must that Chris obtained the new iPhone every year and anything new Apple released. He loved spending money on frivolous things he really wanted but did not need and he knew that this was one of his bad habits 😊. A fanatic of Italian food, he could not wait to get in line to get his never-ending pasta pass from Olive Garden. He loved to watch his reality TV, soap operas, and many of the Tyler Perry shows currently airing. He enjoyed being chauffeured, often times using the excuse that his feet hurt and he just did not want to drive. Everyone loved his sassiness and his approach to an irate customer was one that would make Billy, Kristi, and Robert sweat a few bullets. Lastly, he loved putting in his request for what he wanted people to cook for him. He loved hanging out with his godson’s, playing video games, or just spoiling them and taking them to Chuck-E-Cheese, going out for pizza, or jumping around at Urban Air. If you truly knew him, you knew that pedicures and manicures were a necessity and he had a standing appointment weekly. Chris made you feel safe and he was the cheerleader that did not need a megaphone, and the fighter that did not need an army. He was so many things to so many people, but the most important thing is that he was loved. Christopher is preceded in death by his parents Mr. Jerry Sylvester Robinson Jr. and Helen Marie Robinson. His brother, Jerry Robinson III, his grandmothers, Annie Mae Davidson, Henrietta Davis, His great grandmothers, Mary Jeanette Glover, Mary West Davis, Katie Bell Robinson, and, his grandfathers Will Ockleberry, and Sylvester “Big Red” Robinson, His great grandfathers, Jim Davis & Henry Robinson. Chris loved his life, and his beloved family. He leaves to cherish is memories, his partner of 12 years Dale Harrison, His two god children Jeremiah & Josiah Rios, 6 sisters, Deitra Harris (Willie), Patricia Manuel (Rico Hayes), Erica Jones (Kenneth Leggs), Mary J. Robinson (Cedric Montgomery Sr.), Vonetta (Chel) Searcy, & Helena Pacheco (Paul). 1 brother, Jerrell Davidson (LaTonia). His godparents Mr. & Mrs. Harold and Hallie Howie, 7 aunts, Willie Mae Trigg and Linda Robinson, Dorothy Kelley (Knox), Peggy Nicholson, Sharon Anderson (Brent), Linda Handy, Quinetta Thompkins. 8 uncles, Rufus Jones (Cheval), Richard Robinson (JoAnn), Paul Robertson (Wanda), Ruben Wilborn (Debra), Charles Davis, Tracey Davis, Larry Davis (Marcia), James Thompkins. Special friends, Tomie Paige, Khalid Algertany and Tangy Tennison. His cousin and partner in crime Ronek (Nikki) Davidson.
