Tributes

Carol Renee Tasby was born to Lee Andrew Tasby and Joyce Louise Dallas Tasby on December 2, 1958. Affectionately known as “Nosey” or “NaeNae”, she grew up in Austin and attended the Austin Public Schools. She professed a hope in Christ with the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. L. K. Jones. Carol was a “very special daughter” and was cared for and loved by her many family members and friends. Carol never forget a face or name. She was a very loving and caring person. Carol was raised in the home by her family and her many caregivers. Carol’s special chores were “folding clothes and making sweet cake-like cornbread”. Carol enjoyed her Bible, music, and coloring books. Carol graduated from the Jerry McClifton Center on May 22, 1981. Carol was preceded in death by her parents Lee Andrew and Joyce Tasby, grandfather Jackson Dallas and grandmother Lillian “DI” Overton Dallas, nephew Erin Courtney “Muddie” Tasby, brother Darrell “Puggie” Tasby and sisters Sandra Kay Tasby & Elitha Louise Tasby Byrd. She leaves to cherish her memories sisters, Linda Gayle Byrd, Andrea Sue Norwood, Patricia Tasby-Reaves, & Donna Lynn Tasby; brothers; Lee Andrew Tasby, Jr. (Melanie) & Robert (Bluto) Anthony Tasby; brother-in-law Johnny (Buck) Byrd, eight nephews; Donald Dallas (Tonya), Shawn Tasby (Kelly), Cedric Tasby, Lee Andrew III, Patrick Stephon Tasby, Thomas Dawson, Samuel Byrd (Destiny) & Cortlyn Thomas (Treasure), nine nieces Joyce Elaine Richards, Sion Tasby, Brandis Tasby, Akeila Tasby, LaTrion Wilson-Tasby, Shamir Tasby Fisher (Kendrick), Brittany Tasby, Tamika Andrews, Tiffany Klair (Perminder) & Sharell Carter; ten great-nephews, Donald Dallas II, Brajohn Crenshaw, Cyrion Morrison, Sean Austin Tasby, Kellen Tasby, Kaleb Tasby, Courtney Dawson, Asamay Castillo; Trayvon McGown & Perminder Klair, Jr.; fourteen great-nieces Earieon Tasby, Kierra Finney, Brooklin Fisher, Bailee Fisher, Raniah Whitley, Jaliyah Tasby, Teyannah Tasby, Tamaya Tasby, Peityn Thomas, Cori Thomas, twins Shaliyah & Shyiza Day, SaPryze Castillo & Addison Dickson; four great-great nieces Jayda Dallas, SiMiyah Gay; Erynn Gay & D’Maya Gay, aunt Margaret Green; extended family Bobbie Jones & family, LaTrice Wilson, Tiffany Sellers, Christina Spears, and the Loreto Drive Crew; special cousin Georgette Crowder and a host of other family members and friends.
