Jose Luis (Ferrufino) Argueta III was the true definition of “breaking the mold!” From birth, he had a unique spirit that was free of inhibitions and that no one could suppress. He didn’t start speaking until he was almost four years old, but believe me, he still managed to express himself and was determined to get his point across. When he did start speaking, his words were to the point and not to be wasted. The moment his feet hit the floor, my husband and I were quickly made aware that the race was on! From a chunky bow-legged toddler to a wiry six-foot three-inch man, he was the embodiment of “Out of the box” thinking. Never interested in sports, he always chose the road less traveled. Unicycling, walking on stilts, and obscure photography were just a few of his many talents. Camping, hiking, just wondering off into the woods, nature was his utopia. And being in, on or near a body of water (and doing some type of acrobatic flip into that water) was his tranquility. His silly antics and contagious laughter will definitely be missed. His fearless personality and curious nature took him and all those around him on quite a few memorable adventures, to say the least. I thank God for allowing my husband and I the privilege of borrowing one of His “Special Souls” to laugh with, cry with, enjoy, quarrel, teach, learn, and love for 32 years. But because he was a genuine “Free Spirit,” the limitations of rules, and the constraints of society’s view of social behavior made the world became too small a place for him. So, on Saturday morning, March 2, 2024, God removed the restraints of his earthly shackles and set his spirit free. Our hearts feel pain and emptiness with the absence of our son. Our hearts feel comfort and fullness with the ride he took us ALL on. We love you; we love you; we love you. Rest in peace our baby boy. My “Hidden Mist Ninja” … As he would say “THAT IS ALL”. He leaves to cherish his memory; Parents: Luis and Jackie Argueta, His sister: Franchesca, his brother Jeovanny Ferrufino (California), Niece/Sister: Nevaeh Argueta, Grandparents: Ruby Reed (Melvin) of Houston TX. Uncles: Burton Johnson (LaTonya), Las Vegas, NV; Jose Antonio Argueta (Clotilde), Jose Francisco Argueta (Kristin), Jose Carlos Argueta (Dina), all of Katy, TX; Jose Sebastian Argueta (Marina), Torrance, CA, Aunts: Isabel Argueta (Jose), Alicia Akinkugbe (Mike), both of Katy, TX; Neris Argueta, CA; Receiving him with open arms: Grand Parents: Jose Luis Argueta Sr, Grandmother: Maria Pilar Ferrufino Argueta, Burley Johnson, his aunt LaTrenda Davis. A host of others, left to mourn great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and friends.
