Christopher Michael Rogers Sr. was born on August 6th, 1979, to Ms. Margaret Ann Monreal & Willie Rogers Sr. in Austin Tx. Christopher was called to his Eternal home on October 23rd, 2023. Christopher was the 2nd born child who claimed to be the oldest, because he enjoyed calling his only sister (LIL SIS). He attended school in Austin Tx, starting at Andrews Elementary, then attending Pearce Middle School & Reagan High where he was an A student and in the ROTC Program at Reagan High School. Christopher Sr. accepted Christ at an early age and was Baptized with his Oldest Nephew Lamonte’ Hill by Pastor Leonard James at Greater Works Baptist Church where he remained a member until he was called to his forever resting place. Christopher Sr. started working at an early age at Jack in the Box, and then tried his hands in Construction until he decided he needed to become his own Boss. Christopher started his 1st business, (Man of Many Hats Moving Company), then he realized he had a passion for grilling, which inspired him to open his 2nd business (Rogers Boyz Family BBQ LLC), under a tent at Givens Park, on East 12th street. Now Permanently Located at 519 E. 7th Street here in Austin, Tx. Which will remain open under the supervision of his loving family & his dedicated employees (Gina & Briana). He Loved his family and more than anything his mother (Margaret) all 12 of his children & most Importantly his Loving life partner Gwendolyn Foley (Rogers). In his words “His PIG”. Christopher loved being outdoors, family gatherings, watching football (especially when the 49er’s played the Cowboys), playing dominos, spades & listening to music while riding through ATX playing “Put On” (Jeezy). Christopher was one of the humblest. He would most definitely give you the shirt off his back and his very last with no QUESTIONS asked. Christopher will truly be missed as he is preceded in death by his son Zayden Rogers, his father Willie Rogers Sr, his grandparents Velmas Tank & Lydia Mae Rogers, Marcellino & Beatrice Monreal, his Great Grandparents, a host of Uncles: Joe Lee Rogers, Eric Rogers, Roy Rogers, Charles Rogers, Joseph Reese, and 1 Aunt Jesse Mae Preston (Rogers) & his father-in-law Mr. Willie Foley. Christopher leaves to Cherish his memories, his mother, Margaret Ann Monreal & Stepfather John Walter Franklin Jr who raised Christopher for 38 Years, of Austin Tx; his Life Partner Gwendolyn Foley (Rogers), his mother-in-law Carolyn Foley, his Sister LaShauna Marie Rogers (DeShawn) of Austin Tx, his brother Willie Anthony Rogers Jr (Whitney) of Austin Tx, 4 Aunts Rosie Rogers, Ruthie Crayton, Mary Martinez (Robert), & Sister Eva Hernandez of Austin, 4 Uncles Tony Monreal (Teresa) of Conroe Tx, Richard Monreal (Lisa) of Ohio, Edward Rogers (Ruth) of Manor Tx, Velmas Rogers Jr (Mary) of Austin Tx, his children, Tamara Bryant- Rogers (Selvair), Christopher & Asia Rogers, (Australia) Gralin Rogers, Brittney Rogers (Malik) (Keante’), Zhakail Bradley, Christian & Blessing Rogers, (Tashika), Kaden Harris, Adrian & Angel Rogers, (Gwendolyn), all of Austin Tx. He also leaves behind 11 Nieces and Nephews Christopher, Shimeya, (Kendrick) Lamonte’ (Carolyn), Lameya (Justin), Shontriel (Idrianna), Destynee, Jeremy, Zamyria, TaeShon, Willie III, & Richard all of Austin Tx. 11 God Children, 8 great nieces and nephews, a host of loved ones, cousins, & friends. Christopher will be greatly missed by all who knew & loved him.
